Violence in Loudoun

Some unpleasant happenings in Loudoun recently. Of course we've all been reading about the Lansdowne couple that was attacked along Riverside. This particular event is alarming because it seems that it's quite random. Here are some links...there was a home invasion in Lansdowne on Friday night and another murder in Leesburg a week ago. Dulles Rail Project Gets Federal Funds

Virginia officials will be at the Department of Transportation to make it official on Tuesday 3/10/2009. The grant signed will be in the amount of $900 Million.

Bus Driver Eggs On Students in Snowball Fight? What a nut!

This lady has got be off her rocker. She's supposedly responsible for driving kids around in a school bus for Loudoun County. Apparently, Katina M. Mitchell, 34, of Sterling, was charged with seven counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor when she allegedly offered money to some kids to through snowballs at another kid. What kind of world is this?

Route 7 / Belmont Ridge Interchange

Whether your politics are for or against the current stimulus mania in Washington, if you're visiting this blog, you may be interested to know that the Belmont Ridge Road interchange with Route 7 is one of the target projects that has survived a round of cuts. Governer Kaine now has a list of projects on his desk to approve, amongst which is the 7/BR project. The funds would come from the recent stimulus approved by congress and signed into law by President Obama.
